Innovative Technology: weba Werkzeugbau Strengthens Olomouc Site With New Machining Center

Olomouc, Czech Republic - weba Werkzeugbau has opened a new chapter in its success story: with the acquisition of the state-of-the-art SHW UniForce 6 machining center at its Olomouc site, the company is setting new standards in cast machining. This investment underlines weba's commitment to exceeding the expectations of the automotive industry through innovative technologies and maximum precision.

The SHW UniForce 6: A traveling column machine in a class of its own

The SHW UniForce 6 impresses with its uncompromising stability and extended travel path, which enable precise and flexible machining of even large and complex workpieces. The traveling column machine is ideal for highly complex machining tasks and offers maximum productivity and process reliability.

Robust design for maximum precision

The robust design of the UniForce 6 is at the heart of its performance. The torsion-resistant welded construction and hardened flat guideways in the Y-axis guarantee outstanding stability. The solid machine stand and headstock, both with hydraulic weight compensation, ensure optimum power transmission and consistently high machining quality.

State-of-the-art technology for maximum efficiency

Thanks to the electromechanical control via two vertical ball screws with separate drive, the UniForce 6 offers a long-term accurate, wear-independent and plane-parallel design of the headstock. This enables extremely precise machining that meets even the highest requirements.

Flexible and efficient machining

The UniForce 6 is characterized by its exceptional flexibility. With automatic swivel ranges of 360° in the C-axis and 180° in the X-axis, around 64,800 positions of the workpiece can be approached, programmed and machined quickly and precisely. This ensures a perfect combination of dynamics and efficiency during machining and drilling.

Technical features at a glance:

  • Travel x/y/z: 6,000 x 2,600 x 1,600 mm
  • Feed & rapid traverse x: 36,000 mm/min
  • Feed & rapid traverse y/z: 24,000 mm/min
  • Tool changer: 90 places

With the installation of the SHW UniForce 6 at the Olomouc site, weba Werkzeugbau is strengthening its position as a leading provider of innovative solutions in the automotive industry. This investment is a clear commitment to continuous development and the provision of state-of-the-art technologies for our customers.
